Fall 2014-2015 ready-to-wear looks from the runway:
Bring out the Vamps!
Jean Paul Gaultier's 2014 Fall/Winter Couture was gathered from the familiar frights of ghost, ghouls and Marilyn Manson. Artistically sinister Gaultier created a runway for the prowl of fierce vampire relics. When asked of his true inspiration, Gaultier admitted that he had been dreaming "ghost and vampires"; he described his collections spectrum as “blood red, virginal white, black Sabbath, the silver of a knife, and the gold of religion.”
The majority black, based collection gave each look a unapologetic sense of dominance and sex appeal.
Fitted and tailored suits toyed with the eloquent idea of modesty on the runway. Sticking to his inspiration Gaultier dressed the runway in everything Vamps love including Victorian lace, priestly capes, hoods and delicate embroidery of which Gaultier calls "phantomatique" because of the embroidery's ability to disappear into shadows of it self.
